 Bethlehem

 Pilgrimage

 Concerts for Peace

In December 2006, Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor and Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, along with other senior representatives of the UK Christian community, made an historic visit to Bethlehem.

The Cardinal has asked that: “the eyes and the hearts of the world be opened to what is happening there” and urged Christians from our country to visit and support the local community. He emphasized that the continuing conflict in the Holy Land is “a terrible wound on humanity” and urged both sides to “build bridges, not walls” ... the TERRA SANCTA EDUCATION TRUST was established precisely in response to this direct appeal.

"Let Bethlehem be what it is meant to be: a free and open city."
-- Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor
