Sancta College, The hugely successful 2007 Pilgrimage of Solidarity to the Holy Land organised by the TERRA SANCTA EDUCATION TRUST was a very special opportunity for British Catholics to meet with local Christian families. As well as visiting all the major Christian pilgrimage sites in Jerusalem, Nazareth and Bethlehem, the pilgrims were serious in their commitment to offer friendship and support to their Christian brothers and sisters living in hardship. The Trust's main activity is to support the work of the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land through offering school scholarships to the Terra Sancta College in Bethlehem. Benefactors also generously donated a library of English language books for school children in Bethlehem. Thanking the group, Sister Femia Khoury, principal of Terra Sancta College, Bethlehem, expressed to the pilgrims: “my sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to Terra Sancta Education Trust in helping to alleviate the family burden of students from needy families in these crucial and difficult times.” If you would like to contribute to the Trust’s library of English language books for Christian students in the Holy Land, or contribute to our scholarship fund, please contact us. | |
