During her visit to Bethlehem in May-June 2008, Dr Jordan Lancaster, founder of the TERRA SANCTA EDUCATION TRUST, was able to make a donation to the scholarship fund for the boy’s school at Terra Sancta College in Bethlehem. The money raised for the scholarships was a direct result of the visit to London of our Patron, the Custos of the Holy Land. This was gratefully acknowledged by Abuna Marwan, Principal of the boy’s school supported by the Trust, in the letter reproduced below.

During the same visit, Dr Jordan Lancaster and Dr Alan Campion GP, one of the TERRA SANCTA EDUCATION trustees, joined the Tanas and Nassr families at the confirmation of their children, Rolana Tanas and Nassr Habib Nassr. They were greatly honoured to be present as godparents to the children, as both families have been involved with the work of the Trust since its inception.

Sales of the beautiful olive-wood cribs made by the Nassr family and of the exquisite cross-stiching work made by Nisreen Tanas and other ladies in her family provide for their livelihood, whilst at the same time raising funds for the Trust to help other families.
